DV360: YouTube responsive ads now require a business name and logo
From 12 October 2026, creating or updating YouTube responsive ads in Display & Video 360 requires a business name and a logo, unless default values are already assigned to the parent advertiser. The requirement also applies to ads uploaded through Ad Structured Data Files (SDF), so existing bulk-upload workflows can hit validation failures when these assets are missing.
Impact
High impact for teams that bulk-upload YouTube ads: SDF and API workflows can fail validation when business name or logo assets are missing, delaying launches and updates. Enforcement on individual accounts has not been tested here.
Recommendations
- Check that business name and logo defaults are assigned on each relevant advertiser.
- Add pre-upload validation for business name and logo to SDF generators and internal tools.
- Test one representative upload before running bulk changes.
